The HKFYG’s Global Youth Entrepreneurs Forum 2024 opens for registration
A deep dive into “The New Wave of Artificial Intelligence in Business”
to facilitate exchanges across the Greater Bay Area and
connect young entrepreneurs with business opportunities
Artificial intelligence (AI) presents today’s entrepreneurs with a plethora of opportunities and challenges. In the face of the rise of AI, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups’ (HKFYG) flagship event, the Global Youth Entrepreneurs Forum (GYEF), will be held from 14 to 22 October. Themed “The New Wave of Artificial Intelligence in Business”, this year’s Forum will dive into the vast opportunities that AI offers to the global entrepreneurial landscape and the key trends shaping its growth. Spanning across Hong Kong, Macau and Shunde, Foshan, the Forum is set to bring together luminaries and visionaries from around the world, from entrepreneurs to investors and industry experts. This year, the Forum is centred on how AI technology is reshaping different industries, creating new opportunities for young entrepreneurs. Featured topics include emerging business opportunities, real-world applications, female entrepreneurship and transformation in traditional industries. Venture capital roadshows and business practice workshops will be held concurrently alongside sessions and discussions. The Forum thus provides a conducive platform for delegates to gain insights, raise funds, get inspired to turn discoveries into breakthroughs, and harness the power of AI in an exponential age.
Among the experts speaking at the forum are industry heavyweights including, Mr Fred Sheu, National Technology Officer, Microsoft Hong Kong; Ir Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission Officer, Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited; Dr Leo Ma, Dean of Deloitte AI Institute (Hong Kong), Deloitte China; Mr Michael Yung, Strategic Advisor, Google Cloud, Google (Hong Kong) Limited; Ms Maryann Tseng, Senior Managing Director – Strategic Development, SenseTime; Dr Winnie Tang, Founder and Honorary President, Smart City Consortium; Mr Simon Lee, Senior Director of FinTech, PropTech & Art-Tech, Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI).
The Global Youth Entrepreneurs Forum 2024 will start off in Hong Kong on 14 October, followed by exchange visits to Macau from 15 to 16 October, and Shunde, Foshan from 21 to 22 October, during which delegates can gain a deeper understanding of the business development opportunities across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Since its inception in 2014, the GYEF has gathered and garnered support from over 6,000 young entrepreneurs, angel investors and industry experts from 33 countries and regions. The forum aims to provide an international and professional platform to connect young entrepreneurs with industry stakeholders worldwide and drive conversations on trends in entrepreneurship and innovation, inspiring youths to capitalise on business opportunities and contribute to social sustainability in response to global issues and challenges.
